Narváez Claims Third Stage Win at Giro d'Italia, Eulálio Retains Pink Jersey

Ecuador’s Jhonatan Narváez triumphed in stage 11 of the Giro d’Italia, edging out Enric Mas of Movistar to secure his third stage victory this year. The thrilling finish unfolded after both riders broke away from the leading group during the final climb, with Narváez overtaking Mas just before the line. Diego Ulissi from XDS Astana finished third in the competitive 195km stage from Porcari to Chiavari. Narváez commented on the challenge, stating, "Mas was the strongest in the climb and I knew I had to play my game... it was full gas racing all day." Despite the intense competition, there was no shift in the general classification standings. Afonso Eulálio from Bahrain Victorious maintained his 27-second lead over race favorite Jonas Vingegaard. Key highlights from the stage include: Early breakaways were attempted but reeled in before the first of three categorized climbs. A crash on the descent impacted three leaders, causing the breakaway to fragment. Mas made a decisive attack on the uncategorized climb, but Narváez matched his pace, leading to a sprint finish. While Mas sought a stage win on his Giro debut, it was Narváez who celebrated his fifth career stage victory in the Giro. The peloton, including all GC contenders, finished more than three minutes behind the winner. Eulálio will proudly wear the pink jersey in stage 12, a flat 175km journey from Imperia to Novi Ligure.
